The Bay Area Producers Conference (BAPC), the San Francisco Bay Area’s premier event for the music community to learn, nework, and succeed, has announced Grammy nominated music producer, and Bay Area native, Cori Jacobs as the keynote speaker for 2011.
Cori who was nominated for his work with the top-charting dance act, the Pussycat Dolls, has an extensive discography which includes work on projects for Beyonce, Brooke Valentine, and David Hollister. His production expertise, coupled with his musical proficiency gained through music director roles for George Clinton, Sly Stone, and Lauryn Hill, made Cori an obvious and appropriate fit for this year’s conference.
“We look forward to bringing Cori back home to deliver a message,” says Mario Flores, says BAPC founder and executive producer. “This selection is consistent with our theme of connectivity: meeting people who matter. Cori moved to LA and had to sacrifice, put in a lot of hard work, and meet many people along the way who contributed to his success. His story contains many lessons that our audience will be able to relate to and learn from.”
