Last year we broke new ground with our keynote by featuring a live conversation with Jay King (watch here) who educated, entertained, and inspired our audience with his music industry wisdom. Our feedback was overwhelmingly positive and this year we are proud to announce the same keynote format, with another prominent industry guest to be interviewed by our Growth Expert, Gian Fiero. Stay tuned for an upcoming announcement on who our industry guest will be this year.
This interactive panel of expert audio engineers will discuss different methods of making your productions sound bigger, and most importantly, better. We will be listening to tracks from the audience and letting our experts critique the mixing and mastering in real time.
A *limited* number of songs pre-submitted by registrants will be given feedback. Register and contact us immediately for consideration.
Premise: Now more than ever, musicians hold the power to take control of their careers and their creative destiny. Gone are the days when one needed a record deal to sustain a living from their art. While still valuable under particular circumstances, the record deal has been reduced to an option… not a necessity
For years, there’s been much talk about today’s DIY (Do It Yourself) era, primarily through the emergence of the Internet and specifically through direct-to-fan business models. It has been said time and time again that the Internet has “leveled the playing field” in regards to how artists and entertainers reach fans and manage their business, however it is important to keep in mind that the Internet is not the solution, but merely a tool. And no one person can do it alone, you need you team.
Great production is critical to a song’s success, as is a great melody and lyric, but the role of a producer is often a mystery. This panel of top producers will explain how they help turn a song into a recording masterpiece. You’ll end up with a solid understanding of how your favorite music transitioned from ideas to finished product.
Each of the panelists will play one of their hit songs and explain their production process. In addition, the speakers will also discuss the importance of marketing yourself and how to make money with your music in today’s climate.
BAPC is providing participants with a unique opportunity to meet, and interact with esteemed industry mentors in a series of structured twenty minute group sessions during the music conference. These mentoring sessions will offer participants the rare opportunity to get personalized attention, and private feedback regarding their particular aspirations and situations.
