If you’re planning to attend next year’s BAPC in San Francisco, why not consider volunteering or doing an internship? Volunteers and Interns help to make the conference a real success by meeting, greeting attendees, assisting workshop/session speakers and managing busy information and resource areas. Interns also gain a great experience through the year assisting with different departments withing the company and community out reach.
There are so many ways to get involved and time slots are flexible and convenient — you can volunteer before or between educational sessions. Assignments range from three hours to four-hour shifts (e.g., stuffing water bottles and hospitality). Consider taking more than one shift if possible.
Doing an internship is a great way to meet new people, get connected and give something back to our organization. It can be great way to learn about conferences and build your resume. Besides that, it’s fun!
